Wiping your data is not a requirement, as almost all of the buyers on SellCell.com wipe your data before refurbishing and reselling your device. To check click on the More Info below the phone buyer logo or if you are using a mobile device simply touch the Buyer’s logo. In most cases they do a good job of it, but we still urge you to wipe your own data. Check the terms and conditions of the service that you choose, but the ultimate responsibility for your data is always yours.
Tip: We also recommend that you remove the SIM and any memory cards before sending your cell phone/device. Check out our “How to guides” on how to restore your factory settings and wipe your data. Remember also if you have an Apple device running iOS7 to deactivate your iCloud account!
