How do I find my IMEI number on an Android Phone or Tablet?

IMEI stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity and is a serial number unique to every GSM phone.  You will usually find it printed on the back of your phone under the battery. It should be 15 digits long. You can find your phones IMEI number on the backplate of the phone, which is usually under the battery, or, on some phones, you can type *# 06 # into your keypad and your phone will display it's IMEI number.

To find the IMEI on your Android device:

1. Tap Settings from the Home screen.
2. Scroll toward the bottom and tap About phone.
3. Tap Status.
4. Scroll down and the IMEI number is listed there.
