We compare the prices from lots of different phone buyers on the site to get you the best deal. They each have slightly different definitions of 'working' and 'non-working' but as a guide here are the general definitions:
To be considered as a "Good" we mean a 100% working device, it should:
- Be able to turn on and off otherwise it really should be considered non working or "Damages/Broken"
- The bumps and scrapes that every phone gets from day to day use are OK, but cracks or deep scratches would mean that it would be classed as damaged
- Have a working screen: you need to be able to see what you are doing!
- Have its battery & cover: you don’t usual need to send charger but do not send the SIM card / memory card
- Be in good 100% functioning condition: not crushed or broken or dropped in water
- It should not have a Bad ESN/IMEI and is therefore ready for activation by a new user
- Not be locked to an iCloud Account for Apple iOS7 Users
It is classed as “Broken or Damaged” phones if any of the following apply:
- Have a broken or bleeding screen
- Can't start up
- Have a broken speaker or microphone
- Missing or defective buttons (power, home, ringer, volume, etc.)
- Bad ESN/IMEI and is not clear for activation by a new user
- If it is an Apple iOS7 device be locked to your iCloud Account
Please note that very few Buyers will accept devices that have evidence of Water Damage as this will completely blow the mobile device’s mother board.
Basically, if it can still be used as a working phone then that's what the phone buyer will treat it as and pay you accordingly. If it is a non-working phone then you can still sell it and all you need to do is select the "Broken/Damaged" condition on the comparison page to get the top prices. The above definitions are a general guide so when you have chosen which phone buyer to sell your phone to it is worth double-checking their Terms & Conditions.
To find out the 'working' and 'non-working' prices for your phone just enter the make and model of your phone into the search box at www.sellcell.com and click Search. At the top of the screen you will see up to 3 filters:
1) Carrier
2) Storage Capacity
3) Condition
Under condition choose either “Good”, “New” or “Broken/Damaged”.
If you click on the More info below the phone buyer logo you can see whether the Buyer will pay for shipping of your device and if they will send a shipping pack out to you. We will also tell you other useful info like ‘How long their offer is valid for’ and what payment methods they offer. If you are using a mobile device to get the More Info simply touch the Buyer’s logo. Then just choose which Buyer to sell your phone to and Click "SELL NOW".
