So if you don't know what model of iPhone you have, the first step is to find out your model number. You can do this either by looking in settings, or alternatively you can find it physically on your iPhone.
Model Number in Settings
On your iPhone, go to Settings > General > About. To the right of 'Model Number' what you initially see is a part number. Tap the part number once and this will reveal your model number i.e. A2632.
Model Number on Your Device
On an iPhone 8 or later you can find the model number on your SIM tray. Simply remove it by using the removal tool supplied with your iPhone or something similar like a paper clip. You'll find the model number in very small text on the upper side of the tray itself.
If you've got an iPhone 7 or earlier the model number is on the back of your device, again in very small text.
If your iPhone uses an eSIM, you won't have a SIM tray, so you'll need to get your model number from Settings as described previously.
